Anyone know the color code for TCU purple in actual Paint? Like GLidden or Sherwin Williams?

Thought it would be easy to find but I'm having some issues. Going to paint a maroon door in my house a color it deserves to be rather than that ratty aggie color. Can you help a brother?

Find the color you want an take it to Ace Hardware. They can mix to match the color.

dont the paint stores have a PMS conversion chart?

PMS is Pantone Matching system

they should be able to do it.

Years ago I was able to but at someone like Sherwin Williams, not Home Depot

I tried SW with the PMS code, and no dice in their system. Home depot as you noted was worthless. SW 6983 Fully purple may just have to suffice.

This will convert it to the brand you want. Keep in mind there is not always a perfect match, as this would require an infinite supply of paint choices (which is available through mixing as others have mentioned). It will be highly dependent on your lighting regardless.
