57-year-old Robert Patterson went after a 21-year-old student with a hammer after the kid allegedly took his tailgating spot before the big game. Patterson, who reportedly threatened to hit the kid with the hammer multiple times before actually doing so, was later arrested.

It's bad form to swipe somebody's territory. Tailgating, especially in the SEC, is sacred. But going after a dude with a freaking hammer is definitely not the right reaction. For his part, Patterson did admit to hitting the victim, but claims it was "unintentional".

Well I’m sure he didn’t mean to hit the kid with a hammer. He was just trying to make a point

To be clear, it was A hammer, not The Hammer
