has anyone seen the story surrounding the transfer of cornerback chris steele from florida to usc?

steele was a highly regarded recruit out of st. john bosco in so cal who signed with florida and enrolled for the spring.

steele's roommate was quarterback jalon jones and apparently some time during the spring steele went to the florida staff and asked them to allow him to change rooms. florida didn't initially make the move, later saying they were going to make the move in the summer.

in april two women charge jones with sexual battery and steele transferred back to usc in june.

ncaa just approved steele's appeal and he will eligible to play for the trojans this fall. not sure what happened with the charges against jones, but he transferred to jackson state.

Under this standard just about every Baylor player could transfer and gain immediate eligibilty

if you think about it, that is what happened with that last class at baylor

daniels and bowen both signed with tcu after they were released from their letters signed with baylor

All things that you would think have a drastic impact on recruiting...

TCU Recruiting classes have averaged in the mid 30’s

It would seem success on the field, brilliance of facilities, and respect of coaching really pale in comparison to the number of alumni and publicity. All would indicate that we could literally win a National Championship and not recruit inside the top 20..If that’s the case, and I think it is, we just need to be happy with who get and trust that GP is going to grow them up..

Speaking of Baylor Peyton Powell who we recruited also put his name in the transfer portal today.. Kid flipped late from TX and enrolled early at Baylor. He was also by far their highest rated recruit.....Already in the portal before his first game..

Should have been a frog, but didn’t want to play anything other than QB if I’m not mistaken.
