After today. only 2. Week 10. Good football team we are playing. they are really playing well on O. Not sure I have played a team averaging over 600 yds on off. Lost some good players last year. Starts with the QB. Baker does a great job. Got to love the guys competiveness. Admire what he does. Like a RB in the backfield, Keeps plays alive.

OL has played well, best we have played so far.
Brown is really fast. They do a great job with the option, counter and read. D - athletic enough to play man. You have to play them in Norman. Got to love those kinds of environments.

Success on D - Have to give offense credit. Helps you stay healthy (fewer plays). They got after us last year.

Our guys came on at the end of year on D. Small upfront. Saw them mature and come together. In 2 a days, saw them get better as we got closer. Ross Blacklock and Corey emerged, Boesen knows the scheme better, corners are healthy. Rotating 8 DL makes a big difference. Also rotating in secondary.

Game planning with more experienced D? We don't get the game plan we plan for. texas gave us a different plan. OU - two back - we expect them to completely change this year. You take it as a compliment. They do a good job of moving you around. You have to make them earn everything they get. Can't give them.

If you have a younger group, can't change things after wednesday. with this group, we have changed things on Friday vs Kansas St. When you can do that, makes you a lot better. Playing at night in Norman is tough but glad to have extra time.

Veteran D? Script practices to grow up the positions that are young.

Going to lose a bunch of OL and WR, our game plan will be growing up the next group during bowl practices.

Never stop planning ahead.

OU offense vs OSU? Can't let OU big play you. It's hard to do. Anytime you can run the football, and put option to play, its hard. Have to give them different looks. Hard for one player to bring Baker down. Got to get ready to go.

You have to know what they are going to do before they do it.

Better players on DL helps.

Different prep vs a team like OU? do less. if you make it more special, the kids will screw up. Learned this at Tenn Tech. Get ready for games you are supposed to win. If anything, I need to calm them down. In 2008 at Norman, we couldn't hear. We let it get out of hand. Settled down in 2nd half. Gave up big plays. You have to calm them down and have them prepared. Less is better.

Baker makes it hard because of his escapability.

36 and 81? They are big bodies. Been in system long time. 12 personnel. Have to line up and know where they are at.

ranked as #6 D? reality is somewhere in between. Stats are Not important until end of season. We have a lot of work to do.

62-52 hurt conference defensive reputation? No. Everyone should have to face those offenses to find out. They are both good programs. I've always liked Baker and the way he competes. If you don't root for everyone else in conference after you play them, you are making a mistake.

Eric Bell - excited to be back in NCAA tourney. This is year 6, we have gone back to back. Nice run in Big 12 tourney. Excited to play arizona.

Games change in post season? depends on opponent. looking forward to playing our style vs theirs. We are a little banged up. 3 games in 5 days. We are recovering from that.

D & Goaltending - Been outstanding. Big saves in PK in Big 12 tourney. Very happy. Goal is to come out with a shutout.

Zona - remind me of Baylor. More direct. Not as physical as Baylor.

Done well on the road. Allows us to circle the wagons. Focus in on soccer and the game plan.

Young team? they are battle tested. they gained experience with the weekend.

Practicing in zona on wed and thursday, match on friday.

Raegan Pebley -

Big excitement is for soccer. really happy for Eric. Will be cheering for them.

Our team is healthy. Great mindset. Oral Roberts is a very tough opponent with a strong core returning. Learn a lot about ourselves early.

Year older now? 10 freshmen and soph last year. Australia trip helped grow them up. 10 extra practices. Very committed. Good chemistry in locker room. having Ramirez back helps. team is gelling with her.

Jade Woods? Really a special player. Tough physically. Mean. I love that. Helping with defensive identity. Not eligible until fall semester is over.

PG - by committee. Ramirez, Heard had a good showing.

Texas, Baylor ranked 2 and 3, with OU and WVA right behind. League could get 6-7 teams in tourney. Lot of depth top to bottom.
