IMO, this is probably a case of him being nudged out the door by Tech and Tommy finding a soft landing spot. Still a hilarious turn of events though.

I know that the Texas Tech fans have not been happy with Tuberville. This is probably best for both of them. However, their favorite coach in waiting is headed to Cal.

In 2013 he is supposed to become the President of the American Football Coaches Association. Maybe that added burden made him find a job a little less taxing.
