Tubberville left late and that really hurts. Could have seen them get Sonny Dykes....his dad was at TT forever and Sonny has done a great job at La Tech. But now he is off to California.

Tubbs is an [Craig James] and wasnt well liked there in the first place but this is actually a good move by him. Tech had the most returning starters of any team coming into this season(18)..They lose a ton next year, he had "slapgate" and lost last 4 of 5..He wanted a contract extension and was declined so that shows the managment was no longer committed to him..Then add in he gets out of Lubbock as an added bonus but this was a good career move. Cincy a decent program in a crappy conference with low expectations

Tech lost their coach to a Big East school. Wow.

Meanwhile our coach is beating SEC schools off with a stick.

There is no spinning this. The implications are obvious.

I am just now getting around to this thread, so this very well may have been covered in the 100 posts after yours, but Tech fans will probably say that he was likely going to get fired and was getting out of town before he was axed (kind of like Jim Christian leaving TCU or Trent Johnson leaving LSU)
