26/30 and two of those were balls placed right on the receiver's hands and were dropped, one was a high bullet on a screen that went through the hands off the back, and one was a bad throw. Overall not a terrible day, but he needs to get through his progressions quicker and do a better job of reading the defense and knowing when to pull the ball and throw when they put 6 in the box.
Also work on staring down his receivers. He forecasts his throws way too much for big 12 play. Gonna get picked a lot doing that.

think a great deal of that is simply having to get more game reps.

practice reps are fine, but it just isn't the same and watching milroe tonight, chandler, and sam jackson and some of the decisions they have made you can just see with all must be decided by quarterbacks in this rpo offenses there is going to be a learning curve

Chandler is going to keep getting better and better as the year goes. He was not only low on playing experience coming into the year but he's also working with a new OC and all new skill position guys who haven't played together. So the passing game was always going to be a work in progress coming into this year.

How good he ends up being will be largely dependant on how quickly he can learn to limit turnovers while still being decisive and aggressive to make throws down the field. It's the tight rope that all QB's constantly walk between taking care of the football but also taking the requisite number of chances down field to generate big plays and keep defenses honest.

Briles offense asked way more of QBs than Riley’s did. It definitely looks like one that takes time to gel. We’ve allowed 0 sacks through 2 games so that is a positive. Morris looks like he was a good feel for shifting around. If he can master reading what is in front of him, he will be very good.

Fair assessment. At worst Morris will be much better by year end. Offensive line needs to do way better for the running way game. Getting stuffed by a bad fcs squad repeatedly is ridiculous. Defense needs to improve and possibly replace starters. Better to deal with growing pains if they have actual potential. DC scheme is flawed may never work. OC no idea.

biggest concern from last night was the offensive line

before 09 or anyone else blows a gasket, there are plenty of other places that need improvement, but they are also manned by inexperienced starters or backed by younger players pushing for snaps

that isn't the case in the oline
