And be consistent. If it's a foul in the 1st minute of the game it needs to also be a foul in the last minute of the game. If it's a foul when a player has 0 fouls it also needs to be a foul when he has 4 fouls. If it's a foul when the 4th guy off the bench does it then the superstar needs to be called for the foul when he does the same thing.I would be ok if the refs would swallow their whistles somewhat. 125 minutes of Big 12 ball with 133 fouls called this season. Too many. But if you are going to call one, please get it right as often as possible.
And if you think you saw it, but didn't actually see it for sure then you didn't see a foul and you shouldn't call it. I think refs assuming a foul was committed or anticipating fouls will be committed is one of the worst things in sports. It's okay to miss a foul sometimes (we're all human), but it's never okay to call one that didn't occur.
