I think winning last year bought him good graces and time. If he followed a 9-5 or 8-5 season with a 7-6 or 8-5 this year, then more people would be questioning his hire over Deion and Shedeur.

Anyone could have hobbled down the field for thirty yard swing passes when no one on the TCU Defense bothered to cover the back.
