Listening to NPR on the way home from church, the relatively popular show "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" mentioned Andy Dalton during their Q&A session (talking about the stupidity of the "no good red-headed QBs" comment). Unfortunately, no one on the panel knew what they were talking about, but pretty cool nonetheless.

I listen to a lot of NPR and anytime they talk about sports I think it's hilarious. The pieces usually have the exact tone you would expect if ESPN radio talked about the debt ceiling, or some UN resolution. The commentators just assume the listeners know absolutely nothing. It's all like, "Hey, how about that collegiate basket-ball last night, in which the University of Connecticut defeated Butler University to become national champion? The game was very interesting because both teams made a very low percentage of shots."

If anyone connected to NPR in any way had heard of Andy Dalton, I'd be staggered.

I think Click and Clack (the car guys from Boston) know a little sports, though probably not college football. But yeah, other than that even the local guy giving last night's Rangers/Mavs scores sounds like he'd be more at home in a classroom than a sports bar.

Does anyone on NPR even know what football is?

Sure hope they have. Mark of a good education. I thank God for Jack Bohon and the TCU hidtory dept who taught me.

Yes. Thank God. On this Easter Sunday, I am thankful for Jesus...and my knowledge of Karl Marx's successful theories.

I learned about Hitler & National Socialism too...

I doubt anyone at NPR has heard of Andy Dalton, but I bet they have heard of Karl Marx.

Wow, when I was first married we woke up to Red Barber on NPR every Friday morning. Guy was a classic and NPR is a great program, you should try it sometime, maybe you'll something.

He was euphemistically calling them communists, not suggesting that anyone should not learn about Marx.

Good Lord, is it September yet?

Kai Ryssdal is a commie? Before you start looking up NHL rosters, he does the Marketplace show on NPR.
