All this talk about the morality of a damned wall but no one talks about the immorality of how we treat our sick, our infirm and our elderly. Our healthcare system is absolute [ steaming pile of Orgeron ].

Yes it is. It’s a complicated system.

Big Pharma drives it all, while their executives pocket tens of millions of dollars with exorbitant compensation packages and golden parachutes. Insurance companies don’t do what they’re paid to do while reaping massive monthly premium revenues and out of pocket expenses, and all the while the gubment won’t allow you to manage your own death by self medicating or ending on your own terms.

It’s FUBAR.

Hey, amigos, just an observation and comment here...

The thread took life as a means of encouraging a dear friend in his battle against cancer. Now, while there are plenty of reasons to be concerned--even downright angry--about how health care in the USA is administered and paid for, expressing those admittedly legitimate gripes here sort of intrudes on what I hope will continue to be a "fight 'em on the ice, wes!" thread. So maybe consider carefully what you post here, and let's try to keep this as a thread to express our support and love for one tough hombre we all admire.
