UP: Bengals to find Dalton a new team

The Cincinnati Bengals intend to find quarterback Andy Dalton a new team in the off-season as they prepare to select Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow with the No 1 pick in the NFL draft, according to reports.

After nine years with the Bengals, Dalton will be traded "when the time is right", say the NFL Network.

The Bengals, who were an NFL-worst 2-14 last season, are expected to select Ohio native Burrow after he led LSU to the national championship in his final college season.

  2. lol they might want to wait until Burrow wins a game first. You'd think they would learn their lesson after benching Dalton in favor of Finley. Believe Dalton won them their only 2 games last year.

  3. I don't like their lousy chili.

    Good for Andy.

Go get a ring somewhere (Not Dallas) and then come home to TCU and help us with our QB's.

  4. Best news Dalton has had in years

  5. I hope he gets a job somewhere else, I do not think he will be a full-time starter again. He would be a great backup. He can still play the game at a high level but it is what it is.

  6. He will be in New England next. You watch.

  7. Not a great year to be searching for a new home. Wish him luck.

  8. I think Chicago is a possible landing spot for him.

  9. Yep. I felt bad for Andy when I found out the Bengals were going to take him in the draft. The NFL needs a transfer portal.

  10. Bengals and Redskins are probably the two franchises who are just stuck due to management.

  11. Poor Joe.

    Good for Andy though.

  13. It will be interesting to see how Burrow and South Carolina's QB play. Either Burrow or Beck...or both...were lucky to be a team last year. So...who will do better? Burrow or Beck?

  14. Definitely a decent point. Not to mention going all in on Tunsil (which is a TBD move at this point)

  15. nothing wrong with going all in on larry, IF you had him sign a new contract BEFORE the trade so you are now not in a position where you are going to have to franchise tag him or you just gave those draft picks for a 1-year left tackle and kenny stills

  16. The Cowboys are in the same club.

  17. Bengals OL still sucks, and the defense fell apart in the last few years. Management=crap.

  18. Don't think he will be with Pats. Do know the ownership of the Bengals are nice people but are soooo tight with the money. Beside the Redskins, they are the most unusual team in the NFL. Andy will end up as a very good back up to a power house team. You can't find insurance of his character, integrity and ability in many teams.

  19. He gets a starting job.

  20. That “chili” is horrible. I do remember a good ice cream place but don’t remember the name!

  21. Joe will be injured by game 3. Stupid Bengals. They deserve failure.
