There was no reason at all to play this series. Should have never happened. But in hindsight it really doesn't matter. Unless this team gets things figured out and quickly: national seed, regional host, #2 seed in an SEC ballpark....doesn't matter. It will end quickly. Fortunately, there's still some time. Unfortunately, there's almost zero indication that anything is turning in the right direction.
