It’ll all be forgotten by kickoff of the 2019 season. That’s why the BOR made the decision they did.

We are a forgiving and forgetful society and he’s worth more as a coach than the bad publicity they’ll get.
Yep and if tOSU rolls this year and wins big, it will all be a distant memory. And confirm why they didn't fire him.

Unbelievable. As a public entity, they’ve got to have a retention policy. The board of a taxpayor supported institution is aware UM blatantly sought to circumvent public information laws, and all they are is concerned at how it looks. This is a joke. Did they not consult an attorney??

cover up of a cover up.

lots of questions will be asked of ohio state and the powell police.

That Gene Smith suggested that Urban fire Smith...and Urban refused...says a lot. But his other news that Wolken and McMurphy released tonight from the investigation, as well as the changed police report, it taking the issue to a whole new concern.

The memory issue will be used against the buckeyes in recruiting.

What may be just as disturbing is that a group that included noted public servants decided to risk their own integrity and legacy tonight and give a white washed summary of their investigation, refusing to address the major issues of wrong doing that were found. All while giving a slap on the wrist.

Different day, same game.

What these idiots don't understand is that even though they were removed from the phone, the carrier keeps logs of all transactional data for text messages. All of these text messages, in their entirety, can be obtained via subpoena.

I truly hope someone presses the issue.

I hope this gets done!

And just to be clear, employers (interpreted as corporations) can have their legal department petition for this data to be subpoenaed to help further their internal investigations as well.

Not to mention the fact that there's about a 99% chance that phone was school issued so it's really their property to begin with anyway.
