I like Hell's Half Acre regardless of the 1.3 acre technicality. Besides, with our defense a half acre is about as much of the field as opposing offenses will touch.

The W.A. "Monty & Tex" Moncrief Field at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth will officially be dedicated during halftime of the TCU-Vanderbilt contest on Saturday, September 20.

How 'bout - "The Fort". As in Defend this Fort?

My 4-year-old would think it was sweet if we named it that. This is a great way to tap into the largely untapped-in-sports-marketing infant/pre-pubescent market.

Or, how about we take a page from UGA and refer to it as "Between the (cream colored) cinderblock walls"?

I've suggested "The Anthill," because that's where horned frogs go to feast on their prey, but I guess "The Carter" is what we have for the moment. It's something.

That's a good point hell's half acre is whatever half of the field our defense is torturing the other team.
