Dude clocks in at 22 mph...one of the faster WRs in the nation. I'm shocked you were shocked.
That is fast! I remember Darius Davis’s jet sweep for a 70+yard TD against smu last year. He was clocked at 24+ mph on that scamper. Faster than Bolt’s 100m Olympic record run. Both are amazing!

Don’t know if it was brought up before but did anybody else notice before the fake that Joey ran about 5 yards out on field and made a pretty exaggerated kicking motion with his right leg. Didn’t know at time it would be a fake but mentioned to a couple of people around me I didn’t remember seeing a coach do that for a field goal before. Made sure I watched Joey again when they kicked in the 4th but he didn’t do it that time. Not sure about kick in the first quarter.

So great acting job that even their coach got in on and of course our crack staff hook, line and sinkered it.

All great info and whatnot and I’m not trying to be a wet blanket but damn, how sad is it that the leading rusher two games in a row is a wide receiver? Poor.
Except he’s a WR, now playing RB. His 7.5 yd rushing avg makes me wonder if he’s not a better RB than WR.
By the time we play BU, I would bet this substitution pattern will be further honed and Savion will be fully integrated into both the rushing and passing game.
I’ve seen guys play two positions, but it‘s usually on different sides of the ball.
A 6-5 225 lb RB with 4.45 speed and can throw the ball 80 yds.
Sounds a lot like Eric Dickerson + 2 inches & 5 lbs.

Well that’s kind of my point. He most certainly seems to be a better running back than receiver. He’s never matched his supposed wr ability. More than anything, however, it speaks to how poor our running backs are or at least seem to be.

Savion gets positive yards when running behind this line yet it’s an absolute WWI western front struggle for any other running back to get positive yards behind it…..so it just makes me think our rb room is very, very poor.

How is the ball not dead when the holders knee is down before flipping the ball? Is there an exception for FG and extra point attempts?

Answer to my own question:

When any part of the ball carrier's body, except his hand or foot, touches the ground or when the ball carrier is tackled or otherwise falls and loses possession of the ball as he contacts the ground with any part of his body, except his hand or foot. (Exception: The ball remains alive when an offensive player has simulated a kick or at the snap is in position to kick the ball held for a place kick by a teammate. The ball may be kicked, passed or advanced by rule.)
