There was nothing wrong with wondering what the hell was going on in those first two ABs. They were awful and he corrected it and got a hanging curve to damage.

As you said - he laid off the first breaking ball for the 1st time tonight and forced the pitcher to throw him something over the plate

And he hit it to Bellaire - good at bat for sure by nothing other than making him throw you a strike

Still not sure why anyone throws him one- it won't end well a lot of the time

No different in watching a QB throw two first half interceptions and then connecting on a fade pass for a TD to win in the 4th quarter except that we don't actually connect on fade passes for TDs anymore
