It's a great day to be a Frog as the baseball team is going for a Big12 championship (again) and the tennis team beat FSU 4-1 to advance to Athens (again) for the Round of 16 in the NCAA championship. With victories at the doubles point and by Norrie, Stalder and Rybakov, TCU has now won 16 straight and have moved our overall record to 21-4. FSU is a quite good ACC team and we won fairly handily, so it's a good sign. We'll see who we will match up with at georgia (probably Oklahoma State again - who we swept 4-0 two months ago.

Illinois upset Oklahoma State 4-3 in Stillwater today so that means we'll be facing the Fighting Illini in Athens next weekend in the Round of 16. It'll also set up a re-match between Norrie and Aleks Vukic, who is the only player to beat Cam all season (and he also beat Torpegaard). Both Vukic and Hiltzik are top-notch, but the Frogs did beat the Illini a couple of months ago. On the other side of our bracket in Athens, the Buckeyes, who have won both of their matches 4-0, will be facing OU. Let's hope that Harris and Papa can beat Torp and Wolf (or Di Feo).

The TCU women beat Rice today and will face Stanford in Palo Alto tomorrow.

The TCU-Illinois match time has been announced - it'll be Thursday at 11:00 a.m.

It stinks that we are ranked ahead of Georgia and we are our conference champion and have the #1 player in the US but don't get to host the next round. How does that work?

I thought the next round was in Athens. Did something change or is this a mistake?
