TCU is a Basketball School

Stopped following TCU football weeks ago. Have been following TCU Tennis, Rifle, and Beach Volleyball. Started following TCU Women's Basketball last spring. Complete rebuild with new coaches, new players, modified pick and roll -- looks like it's going to be way more interesting than the men. Plus the women are wearing purple shoes that make them look amazing. Currently, they are playing ORU and killing them.
Seems like the TCU women are indeed worth watching. Pick-and-roll with frequent kicks to the current national leader in 3-point scoring (avg. 5.2 makes per game after 7 tonight). Madison Conner is shooting 46% from deep. Helps that teams routinely double Sedona Prince, so someone is always open, but you still have to knock them down. It's only a 5-game sample against non-con competition, but any team that averages 1.38 points per possession (46% X 3) will win a lot of games.

TCU women win the holiday tourney in St. Pete with an 88-81 victory over Nebraska. Up by 20 at halftime, the Frogs lead was down to 4 in the final minute, but they made 9 of 10 free throws in the last minute to seal it. Frogs won despite Madison Conner shooting 1-for-8 from deep.

Still a bit hard to know what TCU has. They seemed unable to get much inside in the second half. But they are 7-0 and I think they aren't scheduled to play another Power 5 team until Big 12 play starts on Dec. 30.

Sure did help that Agnes-'n-Aaliyah each had career days in scoring. They were ON FIRE from 3!

Nebraska clamped down in the 2nd half, w/ a few [key] Frogs in 3+ fouls. The Lady Frogs do have a very good chance of staying undefeated though, going into conference play against BYU. Go Frogs!
