He had to apply for a medical redshirt since he played in the Baylor game this year. Once you engage in competition, no matter how brief, you burn a season of competition and you cannot just redshirt to get it back. One of the few exceptions is if a season-ending injury or illness occurs that prohibits the student-athlete from further competition.

Not true. If you go into a game for one second redshirt is gone.

Coach Sullivan one year put in a player (I think it was Eqypt Allen but not sure) on the last play of the last game by mistake and lost an entire year of eligibility.
