ESPN recruiting rankings place TCU at top of Big 12 Conference for Class of 2025

Story by Tony Adame

The Big 12 Conference still has some punch on the recruiting trail despite a turnover that’s seen Oklahoma and Texas leave for the SEC and eight new teams added in the last two seasons.

In ESPN’s rankings of the Top 40 football recruiting classes in the country for 2025, TCU grabbed the top spot in the Big 12 at No. 13.

The Horned Frogs have three ESPN Top 300 recruits, led by quarterback Ty Hawkins and edge rushers Chad Woodfork — TCU leapt up 10 spots from No. 23 in the last round of rankings.

It is still just June so ranking will change. Ranking and rating are just sports writers opinions. Like the other thread that said TCU was over rated because of their position in preseason polls is all conjecture. Yes we have had a good recruiting year, there is no doubt. But those who write nonsense about how we are doing or being rated need to be taken as they say with a grain of salt. It is those pundits who are the ones who are over rated not us. So when you see the story in the next few weeks about how our recruiting class this year is now "over rated"... we are T C U and we aren't going away nor will we be beat down!

December is a long ways off.
As T S Elliott wrote:

I think about that every recruiting season.

That being said it looks like the best class since 1985. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Man, these things are just meaningless garbage talking heads use to push narratives and feed large fan bases so.... wait what?

They like us?

Recruiting rankings in late June are the most vital measure of a program.

Barbara Billingsley was more than just “June” Cleaver.

She played a supporting role in the early 50s cult classic, “Invaders From Mars,” but her role in “Leave It To Beaver” reduced her to type-casting as a stay-at-home mom who wore dresses, pearls and high heels, while doing housework.

Her career was resurrected when she appeared in the movie “Airplane,” as the passenger who could “speak jive.” That earned her guest shots on sit-coms such as “Mork & Mindy,” and “The Love Boat.”

Jerry Mathers, who played “The Beaver,” remained her lifelong friend, and always insisted that he wasn’t the least bit surprised by her resurgence saying, “…she was a great comedienne all her life.”

She passed away at her home in Santa Monica in 2010 at the age of 94.

Notice how this stream went cold 90 days ago... Well, it's because once the program started prepping and engaging in fall camp. KSU, ISU,and yes even Baylor have more recruiting activity than TCU since 4th of July.
How about w start the focus on TX recruits. Particularly the following that we have no interest in or offers for.
Travis Buhake, Carmello Brooks, Jordan Covington, Ike Okafor, Jordan Clavelle, Gus Cordova, Daeshon Morgan and Jayden Ramos. All of these guys have the propensity to produce better than the ball hawking 2014 Peach Bowl team. Land 3 out of 9 and still produce a champ team. Why don't all of these guys have offers?
