Scout: Family Factor Huge in Ta'Zhawn Henry's TCU Decision

Greg Powers

Ta'Zhawn Henry, a 5-foot-7, 17o-pound running back from Houston (Texas) Lamar made his commitment to TCU on Tuesday evening on ABC 13.

Henry, who is considered one of the most prolific players in Texas, rushed for 2,789 yards the past two seasons while scoring 35 touchdowns. He rushed for 1,374 yards in 2016 which earned him District 18-6A Offensive MVP Honors.

Henry chose TCU from a final three that also included Iowa State and Texas A&M, but the final decision came down to the two schools in the Big 12. Ultimately, it was the family factor that led him to TCU.

He makes some great moves. That second or third run where he hurdles a couple of guys is something to see.

Love his connection to his family, an attitude that makes for a great fit at TCU.

I know it was a short highschool clip, but some of those runs just made the defense look like they weren't moving
His vision of the field is unbelievable. I think it may be a bit funny to watch him run behind the offensive line, linemen 6' 3 to 6'5 300 + lbs and he is 5'7 170.
