Savion running the ball

Um, I think by “groundless personal grievance” you mean “well-founded concerns based on documented past performance in his professional role”. I don’t care if the guy invents the world’s greatest offense ever, we should hold those in positions of leadership an authority to a higher standard - and his actions while at Baylor make him unfit for any role at TCU.
Exactly what was Kendall documented doing? One comment from a third party that they heard him make a comment on a recruiting trip which he has denied and no one else has confirmed? Is that your "well-founded concerns?"

He literally signed the infamous CAB letter that argued his father was innocent and unfairly scapegoated.

It's more than just one comment.
literally

And you think that disqualifies him? Literally, 4 programs vetted him since BU and all 4 found there were no reasons to disqualify him, literally.

I like it. Funny, our longest run of the season was Savion. If he’s as athletic as described, I like the idea of getting him the ball any way possible. I recall him running two plays in a row in the second half.
Is Hoover on a leash ( not allowed to run to protect him) or is he just not a runner?

Yeah, he's terrific. He's certainly not responsible for the way our offense continually draws penalties, commits turnovers, and disappears for multiple quarters in games even against statistically awful defenses whose head coach is going to be fired. This is exactly what TCU should look like on offense for me. Anyone else?

The idea that anything Johnny Tape-fingers ever does right, even if it's finding a creative fix for a problem that is his responsibility in the first place, immediately negates all of the criticisms of him and/or proves that his detractors are motivated by groundless personal grievance is silly. Two seasons' worth of evidence says he's not a good coach. That doesn't mean he can't do anything right. But on balance he seems to get more wrong, and the most important things.
I wonder why it took them so long to put him in at RB. That was a slick run for Savion, and his pro stock just jumped two notches because of that game.

Hoov kept it for 12 yards (I think) on a read option Saturday. That's the first time I've seen him with a good gain on that play. We need at least the hint of a dual threat at QB.
He fumbled near the end zone when he tried to keep vs. Utah.

Was I supposed to type something here?
Hoover is chained to a post. He is expressly forbidden to run, which is why I was so proud of him for taking off a few times during the game. I'm sure his OC will bark at him for disobeying orders, but I get the sneaky feeling that Hoover has about as much respect for The Whelp as I do...

Savion’s new role reminds me how the 49ers use Debo Samuel.

I hope Briles is reviewing their tape to see how they utilize Debo successfully and implements some of that with Savion.

HEARD HE'S NOT A RUNNER AND WONDERING ABOUT HIS THROWING TOO. COULD BE HE'S TRYING TO HARD TO MAKE A WINNER
•Quarterback Josh Hoover ranks fifth in the FBS in passing yards (2,614) while tying for fifth with 37 completions of at least 20 yards.
•Hoover is tied for eighth nationally with 19 touchdown passes. He had three against Texas Tech, including two in the fourth quarter as the Horned Frogs rallied from a 17-point second-half deficit for a 35-34 win.
