Quite a contrast in the size of today's players when compared to those in the past. That great 1955 Swink

team had three All-Americans (Swink, Pitts, Hamilton) and the largest player weighed 230~235.

Back as I was finishing ('72), when DT Charlie Davis came on board, he was @ 260 and that was as big as we had ever had across from him on the OL. That pretty much stayed that way until Wacker came on in and S&C took a big jump to having an OL or two listed at 280-285. I remember the moment of opening the program at the first game in '83 and seeing those weights. That was crazy and only UT had players that big back then. '84 we had even more, and you know how that season turned out. It was a definite milestone in our fb history.
