Please Donate for Tsunami Relief

A friend of mine, a TCU senior from the business school, has made it to the 3rd round of Charlie Sheen's internship process and there are only 250 people left. To advance to the next round, he needs to answer this question:

“If you were the Social Media Director for a major humanitarian aid organization, how would you create awareness and raise money via social media in the aftermath of a global disaster?”

Instead of just sending in his answer, he decided to go ahead and just start raising money and present Charlie with his results.

Therefore, if any of you could donate $1 or more to Tsunami Relief through the American Red Cross it would be very helpful.

He has set up a donation button on his website - along with a video to explain everything. The more money he raises, the more likely he is to be Charlie's intern, which would greatly help out Japan since donations have been low, would be an amazing experience for him and good exposure for our school.

To watch the video, learn more, and donate please visit:

Thanks for reading and if this is allowed to be pinned could a mod please do so?

I bet that's a fun job. Cocaine one day, porn stars the next, sometimes on the same day. Maybe rehab here and there.

I respect Mike Vosters a lot and wish him the best in the competition but he's already well ahead of this opportunity and will move mountains one day if he chooses to.

I don't think it is important if I or anyone on here likes Charlie Sheen (he is a nut case) but what is important is that this is another great example of a TCU Student being proactive with a chance to win something that is important to him. Remember the more Frogs (alumni) that succeed the better it makes us all look. Good Luck Mike, your on the right path, keep working hard and you will get what you deserve and who know might even help ole Charlie out.

I understand but me representing Jeffry Dahmer also is high profile, and I don't think I'd be kicking down any doors for that job.

Edit: Steel understands but Steel representing Jeffry Dahmer also is high profile, and Steel doesn't think he'll be kicking down any doors for that job.

Don't fret, Steel, we all slip up sometimes.

How hard could it be to be Dahmer's social media director?

Every day, you send out a tweet saying, "Jeffery's still dead," then hit the golf course.

Shouldn't it be, "...and Steel doesn't think Steel will be kicking down any doors..."?

Or is Steel allowed to refer to himself using second person pronouns?

Newbomb Turk is just trying to figure out the rules here, guys.

Here's the email from Dean Moncrief about this. I've omitted the name/contact information about the particular student (although it's easy to find).

Neeleyites,

This is a brave new world we live in with some unusual opportunities. Please note that our own senior (I'm going to get Banned if I do not EDIT this Immediately)* has applied to be Charlie Sheen's intern on a national twitter competition. If you would like to help him advance to the fourth round see the note below.

Subject: I'm in the Top 250 for being Charlie Sheen's Intern

Hey everybody,

As crazy as it sounds, I've made it to the 3rd round of Charlie Sheen's internship process. There's only 250 people left, and although I can't say this was my planned career path, I'm going to make a push to actually win this thing. To advance to the next round, I need to answer this question:

“If you were the Social Media Director for a major humanitarian aid organization, how would you create awareness and raise money via social media in the aftermath of a global disaster?”

Instead of just sending in my answer, I figured I’d go ahead and just start raising money for Tsunami Relief and present him with my results. Risky, but worth a shot. Therefore, if you'd like to donate through the American Red Cross, click here - http://bit.ly/eb2txc. I have set up a donation button on my website - along with a video to explain everything. The more money I raise, the more likely I am to be his intern - pretty prestigious for the Neeley school, no? Maybe? Kinda?

Anyway, here's the link again - http://bit.ly/eb2txc. Send it to your friends/family/students if you can. I have two days to raise as much as possible in hopes of impressing him.

Hope all is well. Holler if you have any questions.

That's weird, I just typed in asterisks instead of names and got the (I'm going to get banned if I don't edit this immediately) message.

The tsunami fundraising idea is an interesting one for the U.S. There are issues with this on many levels, and the lack of donations isn't particularly surprising to me.
