Our plate approach is both predictable and terrible

We always watch a first pitch strike
We haven’t swung at a second or third pitch strike below the knees yet even they the ump has called them all game

So we get down 0-2 or 1-2 and then try to battle back resulting in having to swing at a pitch we don’t want

This "team" is done. They are just playing out the string.

This was actually my biggest worry - that we might not have enough dugout peer leadership to stay with the season. In the past we’ve hit rough patches but never fully caved. There’s sufficient talent on this team to play much better than they are but if the psyche goes down it accelerates the downward spiral.
