I am in dire financial straits and need to hire a good personal bankruptcy attorney in the Metroplex.

Though I have been licensed to practice law in Texas for many years, I have never actually done so I don't know a lot of lawyers here. I'm hoping that someone on this board, whether one of my brother barristers or otherwise, could possibly refer me to a bankruptcy specialist.

Please answer on this thread or send me a PM.

And thank you very much in advance.

So awesome we have such a successful and generous family here on KFC.

16 years ago after Hurricane Katrina when I lived in Baton Rouge we took in a young couple from New Orleans who lost everything in the floods and had zero family. I put out a call on here and in a 72 hours I think we raised $5k+ for them plus tons of clothes and gift cards. Was unreal.

I swear if I ever need anything else big or important, I'm asking this board first...

I've made it known here that I am technically a T-shirt fan. I had family graduate from TCU, and I did get in to the school. My mom thought it was too close to home for me. A few years ago I made a donation and started buying TCU season tickets. As a result I now get alumni emails. Currently I am going through a 'job transition.' I have been amazed at the size of my network and those willing to help. I don't know what has changed, but I think people are more willing to ask for help today. I also believe that people are more willing to help than in the past, but they aren't going to give a handout. You have to show what you are doing and give a tangible need to close a gap. It reminds me of Super Hero Micah Ahern. Never once did they ask for money or anything extravagant. I remember one time they asked for used clothes. People saw the need and humility. They responded with the greatest of generosity.

While I can't help you through your financial situation I know several people who are going through it. I find it admirable that you are willing to be vulnerable about your situation. I wish you the best.
