Another catcher taken, I think there have been 12 so far.

Is there something they know about Skoug that we don't?

Rather than looking at the catcher group, it may be better to look at tools: throws right, bats left, power, gap-to-gap, leadership, etc.

I think many were expecting to see a jump in his defense from last year to this year...which didn't happen. So a slow start this year coupled with having to project a position change....

Completely not accurate. His defense was much improved versus last year and he's been on record saying he spent a lot of time in the offseason working on it.

I agree it's much improved...and all the extra offseason work was likely because he knew what he needed work on in the eyes of MLB scouts, etc.... May have done enough in the eyes of some... but not enough in others (hence talk of position change).

That being said - I agree with the poster above that he will be chosen in the 6th.

From all I've heard about Wade and those close to his family, that won't get him to leave TCU. Selfishly for our club I hope that holds true.

Didn't someone say he's pretty set on getting his business degree from Neeley? I really hope so. 5th round is still pretty high.
