Lloyd played in the early 60's, then played for Oakland in the pros. He was a very generous donor to TCU for many years. All of his children, his wife, and most grand children have attended TCU.

Lloyd coached football for one year after leaving TCU. He was the JV football and basketball coach at Temple High School in 1963. Had the pleasure of playing for him that Fall.
