J. J. McCarthy Takes One Question Post-Game, Leaves the Room

Honestly their line was a bit of an embarrassment after all the hype. I think they did a good job of pass protection for the most part, but they rarely opened any holes in the rushing game.
Their pass protection last night probably improved Mr. Dylan Horton’s net worth a lot last night. Not too mention Horton blew up their double reserve on the goal line in their 1st drive.

dylan had a pretty decent back to back plays on the last two plays of that series

he is the guy who pushes mccarthy out of bounds at the tcu 2 on 3rd down after pressuring him and then jj breaking out of the pocket to the left and then as you pointed out making the tackle in the open field on the trick play

Upstart? We have only been playing football at TCU since 1896…
That’s the kind of ignorance that really should be disqualifying for journalists. This “upstart” finished #2 after 2010 season, and #3 after 2014 season. Plus, top 10 finishes in 2008, 2009, 2015 and 2017. With another this year, we’ll certainly be in the top 10 of all programs in this century.

How can an “upstart” have three top 3 finishes in 13 seasons?

same way that blackledge continually referenced the "small" tcu defensive front when the smallest guy is horton at 275, heck he might be the smallest guy out of the 6 man rotation
