Saw this story the other day. I'm curious to know what happens to his 7,002 bitcoins once he locks himself out. There's a fixed number of them out there so this would essentially mean there are 7,002 of them that would cease to exist, which would reduce the money supply. That would seem to increase the value of every other bitcoin, were it to happen, due to the added scarcity.
