FORT WORTH – TCU's women's tennis team fell to No. 28 Texas Tech, 4-0, Saturday at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth.
The Horned Frogs No. 1 doubles pairing of Alisa Soloveva and Jade Otway earned a 6-3 win, but TCU dropped No. 2 and No. 3 as the Red Raiders claimed the doubles point.
Texas Tech claimed all three singles points. TCU's Soloveva was two points from winning her match against Margarita Skriabina in No. 1 singles before the Red Raiders clinched the victory.
Between singles and doubles play, the Horned Frogs honored their three seniors, Aleksa Cveticanin, Stevie Kennedy and Soloveva.
TCU (12-13, 2-7) will be back in action April 21-24, when it hosts the Big 12 Championships at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
