FORT WORTH, Texas – The TCU women’s tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 5 Oklahoma State on Sunday afternoon in the championship match of the 2017 ITA Kick-Off Weekend at the Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater, Okla.
 
The Horned Frogs (3-1) split the opening two doubles matches with the Cowgirls (5-0), as No. 16 Olaya Garrido-Rivas and Donika Bashota pulled off the upset with a 6-2 victory over No. 11 Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari. TCU could not convert on the final court in action as Oklahoma State took the early 1-0 lead in the match.
 
The Cowgirls took the momentum from doubles and carried it into singles action as they won the first sets on five of the six courts. The Frogs could not come back, as Oklahoma State took three singles matches in straight sets to pull off the 4-0 win.
