We have a first baseman who can play first. His name is Gabe Miranda. The problem is the coaches want to play Byrne and Bowen at first and catcher.
If you DH either of those guys and start Miranda at first then you if the catcher is hurt you lose your DH to bring in a replacement.
Plenty of arms on the staff, just have to find that consistent third starter.

Catchers not named Pudge or Molina, don't throw out runners.

First base is a defensive liability right now. Kurtis Byrne is okay at 1B. Question is, Miranda's bat. Not sure I've seen him swing a a stick all year.
