GoFrogs: Bruner Tied for 3rd at Clover Cup
MESA, Ariz. -- TCU sophomore Greta Bruner carded an even-par 72 and is tied for third individually, while the Horned Frogs are sixth after Saturday's second round of the Clover Cup.
With a 1-under 143 through 36 holes, Bruner is just two strokes off the pace set by Ohio State's Jaclyn Lee. All three of Bruner's birdies came over her final 11 holes. The Conroe, Texas, native shot par on 12 holes.
Grace Do and Emmy Martin contributed 74s for TCU. Do had a team-best four birdies, while Martin birdied her opening two holes and her final hole.
Annika Clark recorded par on 16 holes for the Horned Frogs. Yeji Shin had a birdie for TCU.
With a 9-over-297, TCU lowered its score by two strokes from Friday's opening round. The Horned Frogs are at 596. Arizona State and Ohio State are tied for the team lead at 575.
