GoFrogs: TCU Rolls To 6-2 Victory Over UTRGV
FORT WORTH – Jake Guenther's three-run home run in the first inning put No. 19 TCU in front to stay as the Horned Frogs rolled to a 6-2 win over UTRGV Tuesday night at Lupton Stadium.

The Rundown
UTRGV struck with a first inning run. Back-to-back hits by the Vaqueros opened the game and a Conrado Diaz sacrifice fly put UTRGV up 1-0. Dawson Barr minimized the damage with back-to-back strikeouts with a runner on third to end the inning.

The Frogs responded quickly with three runs in the bottom of the frame. Josh Watson doubled and Alex Isola was hit by the pitch ahead of Jake Guenther, who's third home run of the season down the right field line gave the Frogs a 3-1 lead.

A lead-off hit batter in the second allowed the Vaqueros to pull back within one, 3-2, as Tyler Torres scored on a two-out double from Jacob Hirsh.

TCU broke the game open in the fifth with a pair of two out runs. Isola poked a two-run single into right center to bring home Zach Humphreys and Watson for a 5-2 lead. The Frogs tacked on an insurance run in the seventh on a Humphreys RBI-double.

Barr started for the Frogs and allowed two runs on three hits. He fanned four. Spencer Arrighetti picked up the win in relief. He allowed three hits and struck out five. James Notary picked up a pair of strikeouts in his two innings of work and Augie Mihlbauer closed it out with a scoreless ninth.
