Fan excitement is a new low…everybody sees the issues with this team and the watered down schedule.

This 2024 TCU would lose by 40 to the Kenny hill Alamo bowl team

Those days are gone... Just like 2009, 2010, 2014, 2015, and 2022... This team is frustrating but getting better... Hopefully building for a nice run in 2025... Who knows? Fan excitement comes and goes - we've seen a lot of the lack thereof - most recently starting in 2018-2021...

Do you think Michigan fans are super excited about what they've done a year after winning the Natty?

Just no Army. Could you imagine how those guys would run through us?
Our defense is getting better.

One things we need to consider is that this is a new defensive scheme (first year), new signals, etc. So even the older guys are in a new system. My guess is by the last game we will see a continued improvement, or lots of calls for someone's head.

Was sitting near quite a few OSU fans last night and heard a lot of frustration expressed. Both the facts that they had the most returning starters in the B12 this year and that their 18 year bowl streak was coming to an end had them (understandably) bitchy.
FWIW, I think it would be a mistake to let Gundy go. This season is an anomaly against the norm, and he deserves the chance to right the ship. If they have another year like this then maybe it's time, but not yet imo
If they let him go, can we hire him for an asst/coord?

It also looks like Avalos has figured what some players can and can not do because we’ve moved some guys around and some guys seem to be in better position now.

We lost a key part of the d line and didn't have him at the second half of the bu game. would have made a difference.

He's been a terrific coach. What he's done at OSU is one of the great college coaching jobs ever, up there with Bill Snyder and GP turning around K-State and TCU respectively. That said, I suspect Gundy is now where GP was circa 2019. It might take another 2-3 seasons to bleed out, but I think they've reached the end of their glory days with him.

I hope we improve. Baylor still ran through us. Between the tackles for over 200 yards. So I don't know how much we've improved at this point. Army is going to crush us as it is right now.

But it's not playing the Kenny hill Alamo bowl team. We're talking here and now. Try and keep up Florida Man. Don't you have a gator to go wrassle or sumpin?

8-4 in the regular season against this schedule is not a success. Weakest TCU schedule since joining the big 12 by FAR…probably weaker than some MWC schedules

At most, we played 2 top 25 teams…
"Against this schedule"? We're talking about a team that at midseason had no run game aside from having their best player in the wildcat now and then and a defense that rarely made contact within five yards of the line of scrimmage.

This team literally has been among those in "this schedule." Finishing above .500 absolutely is an accomplishment when you're on par with the weakest on your schedule.

“Finishing above 0.500” is never an accomplishment when you compare the resources and salaries of our coaches vs. the rest of the big 12

Sounds like you’re excited for another cheez it bowl…

On a whole, how are our "resources" materially any better than the majority of other B12 schools? I hear this quite a bit, I'm just not sure what it means.

I'm not sure there is any school in the league where we hold a big advantage in the resources department. I think everyone is pretty much on even footing, that's why you'll probably see a ton of parity in the league.

The teams with different resources are OUT.

Maybe BYU has materially more resources, but they have other factors that offset the ability to spend more to attract athletes.

No UNMs or Wyomings in the latest version of the Big Twelve. No OUTs, either.
