Gameday Thread, Baylor Hate Edition: TCU at Baylor

Was I supposed to type something here?
It may be he didn’t have faith in his offense to make it.
Therein lies the answer.

I felt that it was wiser to go for it, but knew that the play sent in by The Whelp would be some zany trick thing that would blow up in our faces and lose 5 yards. At the very least it would have been the Wild Frog again, and it would have been dicey at best.

We have no running game, and little blocking.

It will still cost $50 million to buy them out now, hire a new staff now and bump up the NIL now. Where is that money now, especially when the alumni have been hit hard by multiple fundraising programs? People are going to have to write big checks and I doubt they want to do that now. If they were willing to do that, then Sonny's crew would already be gone.

We are stuck with mess for another year and possibly two.
Mostly due to complex personality disorders, SNAP - easy selection - lackadaisical investigation of records, and lack of experience in in-depth coaches' abilities. And we paid millions to boot and then gave him an extension. What a debacle. Finally, TCU adm shares about 50% of the blame for its lazy approval of AD in the first place. Now the good news, straightening this mess out will take two to three years unless we find a bloody miracle somewhere. And just THINK.....TWO YEARS AGO WE WERE PLAYING FOR A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP....... This is the second time in 86 years.. TCU doesn't fare well in mgmt decisions of this importance, and magnitude.

Lighten up. The coaches are not that bad. They have got to recruit in this new environment. TCU is big time. Losing Dom Williams to OU NIL was a big blow. Avalos can recruit.

I don’t mean to say you are wrong, but I’m not so sure that the Frogs football team is average. I think we are below average. We are last or close to it in several categories both offense and defense related. We have been beaten by teams at or near the bottom more than once this year. To me, those sorts of thing hung around a team’s neck points to a team that is below average overall. Just sayin…
The Frogs schedule turned out to be the easiest in the XII. With home losses to UCF and Houston and Ok St and Arizona coming TCU has a chance to lose to the 4 worst teams in ACS. Don’t do that!

Exactly. No balls. No risk no reward.

I felt we should have went for it, but the zany trick play thing was my worry too. It's was gonna be a big gamble to send Savio up the field on a wildcat, but still should have tried.

It is not just possible, it is likely. It is putrid and pitiful. As a youngster I attended many games at ACS, and with one or two exceptions, we lost them all. It is disgusting and disgraceful that we have arrived there , once again. Thank you goes to the coaching staff, AD and the administration. I hope they take a long hard look at what they have done…
