Why Jared Janczak is the best answer to help solidify TCU’s starting rotation

TCU baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle is always pleased when his team wins a series such as taking two of three from Seton Hall last weekend.

But Schlossnagle wants to see more consistency from his team and he made it clear where it starts.

“Starting pitching,” he said. “Everybody wants to talk about everything else, but the bottom line is it’s starting pitching.”

Yep. And if he gets there it will be borderline amazing. Still surprised he’s where he’s at presently. Our D can’t afford to allow any extra outs. And I hope JJ can get to early count pitcher’s contact because I don’t think he has put away capacity right now and foul balls with 2 strikes can run his count up.

Our postseason run will be completely determined on JJ's health and longevity. If he gets it rolling these next 2-3 starts and shows he's capable of going 5-6 innings and moves back into the weekend rotation, we are a Super Regional/Omaha ball club.

The other thing with JJ is that if he is able to work his way back into the weekend rotation, then Williamson is another arm we can use out of the pen. Schloss has mentioned such multiple times in the last 2-3 weeks.
