FWST: Third straight Paradise loss for TCU women

Chelsea Shine scored 20 points and Virginia knocked off No. 21 TCU 59-55 on Saturday at the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.

It was the third loss in three days in the tournament for TCU (3-3).

The Cavaliers (4-3 rallied to take a 55-53 lead with 38.7 seconds left. Micah Garoutte had a chance to get the Frogs within one with 12 seconds left, but the senior's lay-up rolled out. She made one of two free throws, and Virginia added two more foul shots.

Emily Carter scored 14 points to lead TCU. Starr Crawford added 13 points, and Helena Sverrisdottir, an all-tournament selection, had 10 points and nine rebounds. Starr Crawford had 13 points and nine rebounds.
