FWST: Medley helps TCU women deliver first win for new coach
Zahna Medley scored 22 points and Chelsea Prince had 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead TCU to an 87-64 victory over Houston Baptist on Friday, giving coach Raegan Pebley a victory in her regular-season debut with the Horned Frogs at the University Recreation Center.
TCU’s Alexia Standish also finished in double figures with 12 points in her TCU debut, and Donielle Breaux had 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists as the Frogs shot 51.6 percent (16 of 31) from the field in the first half on the way to a 54-28 lead at the break.
The Frogs trailed the Southland Conference’s Huskies by seven points less than two minutes into the game before Breaux and Standish each scored five points to whittle the lead to 13-12 with 16:14 left in the first half. ...
