FWST: Del Conte changing Texas, and not coming after TCU ... yet

Hearing CDC about to fire a bunch of people . Muck part of this DFW media stuck in the early 90s glory, with a pre-strike article...He would like nothing more than CDC to try to take the best from TCU.

the rumor about clear cutting in the texas athletic department has been there since steve patterson. supposedly he was hired because he was more than wiling to take an axe to the organizational chart in belmont or that is what he said in the interview.

steve really didn't fire anyone and in fact hired on a few of his own consultants. perrin didn't do anything because he was an interim ad which now brings it to cdc. he did a bang up job raising money and getting people to support various aspects of the program at tcu, but i don't recall any one situation where he had to restructure something anything close to the texas athletic department.

chainsaw al dunlap did a damn good job cutting payroll and costs of companies he was brought into to run and he ran a good number right into the ground.
