Unfortunately I think both angles are right. Plenty of blame to go around for this season.Interesting…. There’s a whole other thread blaming the defense.

Go awayEvery time they show Art Jr. on the TCU sideline wearing a TCU logo I want to vomit.
Then I see this scumbag Briles talking to Hoover after he throws a pic. God only knows the life coaching that pile of garbage is offering to this impressionable mind.Go away
TouchdownRight back at ya.
We’ve sold our souls to have this trash lead our young men and the upside is putting up 28 on a 3-5 Tech team? Not worth it by a long shot.Touchdown
2 turnovers by the offense. The offense is worse.Unfortunately I think both angles are right. Plenty of blame to go around for this season.

Tempting. This Kendal Briles travesty makes it very, very tempting. Then leave
I wonder if Donati lowers donations levels for really bad seasons like this one is shaping up to be. 5-7 maybe?Tempting. This Kendal Briles travesty makes it very, very tempting.
Preseason we had higher expectations for the defense over the offense. We knew the offense was going to be questionable, but had higher expectations for the defense. They were returning more on their side of the ball compared to the offense and were going to be in year 2 under JG, instead of learning a whole new system like with the offense. They are both bad, but at least the offense has more of an excuse. The offense is the culprit this season overall. The defense has had their couple of bad games mainly away from home which says something about maturity. The offense has set the pace and failed!
I won’t be argumentative at this point of the season. Fingers to be pointed all around with certainty that everyone is correct. Very disappointing season. Most of our losses come from a combination of failures on both sides of the ball. However, I would say the Colorado lose was exclusively on the defense.
Yes you can fire an OC in less than one season. (Clemson) Just have to admit your wrong with the hire. Not gonna happen in one year in our case.Tech dared us to throw the deep ball most of the game. We threw it several times, but overthrew the WR by 5 yards or more. That’s the worst way to miss that throw. Gotta throw it at the back of the defender’s helmet. He can’t turn around and spot it and our WR has the advantage of tracking the ball.
Throw at DB’s helmet and you catch it, or get a PI. We’ve overthrown it with Hoover and Morris all year. This offense doesn’t work without a deep threat.
Think Baylor 2013-14, offense worked because Petty could throw that deep 50/50 ball. Safeties creep back to adjust, RB ripped off 10 yard gain - rinse and repeat.
Briles coaches this. We just don’t have a qb that can run this offense. We better find a guy who can throw a deep ball or it’s gonna be more of the same next year.
Can’t fire an OC after one year. What OC is gonna want the job next?

I posted in that one that our defense sucks.Interesting…. There’s a whole other thread blaming the defense.
Problem starts at the top. No good OC will work for Sonny.Tech dared us to throw the deep ball most of the game. We threw it several times, but overthrew the WR by 5 yards or more.
