DMN: 5 things TCU fans need to know about Kansas: The Jayhawks' pass defense is for real

Here are five things TCU fans need to know about the Kansas Jayhawks before the Horned Frogs' Big 12 opener Saturday.
A pushover no more
Kansas' football futility has been well-documented. Since 2010, the program has won exactly 20 games (counting two wins this season). For perspective, TCU has won 84 games in that same span.
But Kansas has always played TCU tough, and the Jayhawks stole a win over the Frogs in Lawrence last year. This season, Kansas is under new management. Les Miles, who won a national title at LSU, has taken the reins and already won two games, including a 48-24 romp of Boston College on the road. Kansas lost its first Big 12 game to West Virginia, it's true, but the Jayhawks were competitive in that one. TCU head coach Gary Patterson talked about how much he respects Miles on Tuesday, and though Miles is known to be a bit of a character, it's clear he has what it takes to build a program.
