A guy that has 20 career receptions is better than JP Richardson….a consistent multi-year starter that has had over 40 receptions in each of the last two seasons alone?? And that was at two different universities so you have two different coaching staffs and schemes thinking he has talent and he went out and proved he has the ability. He was one reception off from being our leading reviver last year and about 40 yards away from being the leading yardage receiver if the stats I saw are correct.

Hell, I’d personally say he may arguably be our most clutch receiver and you wanna bench him for a guy that has never consistently seen the field over four years….never consistently seen the field with the type of wide receiver rotation and turnover we have??

What on earth?? I’m not gonna respond to much else on your list but that point is ridiculous.
I was very surprised to see JP listed as “or”
He was basically our leading receiver last yr and all conf

He was great at OkSt too

I need to count how many of our starters are from portal. It’s hard to keep up

Brockermeyer finalist for starting center. He was the 5 star Fort Worth kid who originally went to Alabama. Guess he's doing well for us. He was the #1 center in the nation out of high school.

Cooper Powers, the kid from De La Salle is #3 at center. He's just a freshman though.

Our defense looks rock solid.
Different Brockermeyer.

Here's who's competing for the starting position: https://247sports.com/player/james-brockermeyer-46059520/high-school-226728/

Here's his brother who also came here but medically retired: https://247sports.com/player/tommy-brockermeyer-46040211/high-school-191613/

There is a reason he is listed as "OR".

We were one of the worst teams last year in Offensive Red Zone efficiency. When the field shrinks, JP does not have the same ability to matriculate the football down the field as Jack Bech or other as I've suggested like Blake Knowell.

I still believe JP is the starter. He should not receive 70 % +of the playing time for the beginning of the season. If you give Bech and Knowell at least 50 % of the snaps for at least the non-conf. schedule. the superior Y.A.C amongst the 3 will surface.

His name is Nowell. You probably should know that since you keep putting his name out there.
And yes, J.P. should be the starter.

JP was not all-conference. He was honorable-mention, whatever that means. He was basically our 3rd best guy behind Wiley and Savion. Which that said, our passing game just flat out sucked last year. Not a great debut for that Briles guy that our head coach decided to trust...

This is why the media is so down on us despite all the "talent" the recruiting sites say we have. We don't really have any elite players at any position...yet.

And the case of a coach using it in bizarrely incorrect way does not make it right. Kind of a Yogi-ism. I had to look that word up back in '65 when I first enrolled as a freshman at TCU and had to fill out a form entitled "Matriculation Data"
