Big 12 in position to poach Pac 12 schools?

Was I supposed to type something here?
No mention of whether or not Lee Corso is gone. His health issues make it near-painful to watch him go through the usual schtick. Simple human dignity would cry out for them to retire him, but, ESPN.

I was ambivalent about Pollock, which is good, I guess. I generally have feelings towards broadcasters that range from 1.) Tolerable, to 2.) Annoyance, to 3.) Incandescent Hatred. Thus, IMHO, they should have fired everybody at ESPN, and started over with kids fresh out of High School, or just random people off the street.

Doesn't really matter, though. I usually watch with the mute on anyway. I can only take so much witless blather...

I actually prefer the Fox Big Noon Kickoff show to Gameday. I know some, probably most, still prefer Gameday but I really like the flow, analysis and the chemistry of the hosts on Big Noon Kickoff.

I almost always watch with the mute on. I also put the game on pause for the first 30 minutes or so and fast forward through the commercials and reviews.

Pat McAfee, 36, is bringing his weekday talk show to ESPN this fall. Rumors he will be paid $85 million over 5 years. He is leaving FanDuel/YouTube where he has a three-hour afternoon show that is paying him $120 million over four years. Rumors that he wants the ESPN exposure and support and it may be less/better hours, so more time for his family.

He has had crazy success since leaving the NFL after the 2016 season where he was a punter/kickoff specialist for eight seasons. From gifted leg to gifted gab, he knows success.

Big 12 dropping the news of the long-form contract being finalized is just perfect. The presidents of Colorado and Arizona now have the full fine print of a TV deal to consider. Isn't that what they've been waiting for? If you believe you're going to see one from Kliavkoff, that's on you. It ain't coming.
It [the Big 12’s now-signed definitive media rights agreement] is not what they [CO & AZ] have been waiting for [in deciding whether to join the Big 12]. The details being hammered out these last months are more logistics than anything - production obligations for non revenue sports on streaming, game selection order for neutral site games, etc.

College Gameday has become like Good Morning America. It’s an antiquated show going through the motions.
A PMT with Big Cat version would pummel it.

They have a rough framework of a deal they’ve cobbled together with regional tv, ESPN, & a large unknown streaming element.
They don’t have any of the crap you’re talking about, but they are hoping to have more substance in 3 weeks. Good luck with that.

It took 60 days for the B12 to go from open negotiation to signed GOR
