About that Navy Game flyby in 2000...

I think many of us wondered what happened to the pilot who zoomed through the stadium. Ward Carrol explains the whole thing early on in this vid.

Carrol is a retired F-14 jockey who has a fine channel, and just posted this not long ago.

I was not there for the Navy game flyby but a few years ago, Maverick buzzed the tower before the flyby. That was pretty cool.

I remember John Denton saying from the press box he could have jumped into the pilot's shirt pocket.

I was peeing in a port a porta-potty outside the stadium and I thought a group of Navy fans were trying to tip it over when that jet went by. It rocked it back in forth like it was going to flip over. Great atmosphere for a game.

Ya I think I recall Estridge said they were looking DOWN on the aircraft as it flew by.
