247 Sports: No spring game for TCU Patterson confirms
TCU will not have a spring game or spring scrimmage on Saturday Frogs' head coach Gary Patterson told media following Tuesday’s practice. The Frogs, which have just two practices remaining, will conclude spring camp on Friday.
Patterson cited depth as the biggest reason; with so many players out they simply don’t have solid numbers to have a productive spring game. Furthermore, he doesn’t want to take a chance on losing even more players.
“I can’t turn up the knob and take a chance with the amount of numbers that we have and take a chance with anyone else,” Patterson said. “When you put people in the stands they turn that adrenaline up.”
