Matt Campbell updates injury report ahead of matchup with TCU

After a bye week, Matt Campbell and the Cyclones are ready to hit the ground running in their second game week of the 2020 season. Up next for Iowa State is TCU, which marks the start of Big 12 play. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 12:30 CT and will be televised on Fox Sports 1.
Iowa State entered its bye week with three key pieces on offense on the injury report. Preseason All-Big 12 tight end Charlie Kolar missed the season opener against Louisiana with what was classified as a “lower body injury.” Iowa State was also without potential starting right guard Robert Hudson, who didn’t suit up for the season opener. Starting left guard Trevor Downing went down late in the second half of the opener with what Campbell classified as a sprained ankle. Downing didn’t return to the game after suffering the injury.
Campbell gave an update on those three entering game week on the Big 12 coaches teleconference Monday morning.
