Didn’t see the match, but UB supporters applauded him after he got subbed; a nice touch given how Leeds “supporters” treated our guys at the end of last season.

Odd that he'd feature as a #9 given the way Berlin played last season and the strength they had with Pefok and Behrens/Becker to also play forward. Glad he performed well and was well received.

Noticed Puli is starting at right forward today opposite Leao as expected. No Musah on the team sheet, though. Is he hurt or just not enough time to be prepared to play today? I figured he could at least come on as a sub.

Also noticed Balogun isn't on the team sheet for ARSEnal today. That's gotta mean he's leaving soon and it's just a formality now about where he goes.

Got the hockey assist on the first goal for Giroud too. Watched the 1st half on Paramount+ tonight. Hopefully he can build a reputation for himself with multiple performances like this.
I should add now that I'm not delirious... Puli looked dangerous all 1st half, but had a couple defensive lapses. Hopefully he gets more continuity with the group and the formation and shores some of those things up. He also had a couple other plays that could have been assists with a slightly better strike on the end. One was a left-footed full volley from Giroud that just missed. He melted that ball and it was perfectly played in by CP11 to give him the chance for a first time strike.

Bologna didn't score, but they had a half dozen grade A scoring chances in the first half. The first came off the kickoff when some dude fired a left-footed missile off the crossbar. Puli wasn't the only defensive liability for Milan. They have some things to work on as a group. But they're really dangerous offensively and Puli on the right side really completes that group well. They all have so much pace, creativity, and skill in that front 6. Everyone in Italy will have fits with them.

Balogun to Inter is starting to get more traction. Would be a fascinating derby for American fans after the international window if Flo were there and Puli/Musah in the opposite shirt.

Also seeing Chelsea (surprise surprise) are expressing interest. My personal favorite link for him is Fulham, but it feels unlikely with giants like Chelsea and Inter in the fray. Leipzig are also interested. Seems like he's definitely going to move at this point. I just wish it were done already so he could get on with training at a new side and playing some football again.

Dest put in a good shift for PSV in a UCL qualifier in Glasgow. PSV drew 2-2. Pepi and Tillman were unused subs. Especially interesting that Tillman was unused given his familiarity with Rangers.

Sarge scored again and is getting interest from Leeds, which would be weird since it would be a completely lateral move to stay in the Championship playing for another promotion hopeful. Good to see him performing well, though.

Damn. So close to the Italian border. Would have been much easier to watch him had he gone to Italy. He definitely took over in France last year so maybe that league will be a great place for him to keep up his momentum.
Yup, he tore up Ligue 1 last year. Hopefully he continues improving and playing well.

Plus, from his perspective, living in Monaco ain’t exactly a hardship…. Beautiful scenery of all kinds abounds.

Yeah. It's a geographically awesome place. Mountains behind you, Mediterranean in front of you, and Italy is a 9 iron away. There are much worse places to end up.

If there isn’t a buy back in place with this deal, I’m gonna be pissed. Would rather Arsenal keep him and sell Nketiah.
Supposedly there’s a “substantial sell-on clause“ (why we agreed to £35m instead holding out for more) but no word of first refusal.

I was torn. Eddie has scored two in three games and won a penalty. From all reports he is working his ass off and is improving but still needs to find consistency. If he can… wow look out. That said, I’d have liked to see Flo get a chance. He‘s a pure no 9 and offers something Gabriel Jesus doesn’t. We may regret letting him go without a run in the team.

Pretty sure we’ll regret letting Tierney go and relying on two injury-prone defenders (Zinchenko and Tomi), and Havartz…. Didn’t understand shelling out £70m for him and still don’t. And we still haven’t learned how to close out matches.

PL is going to be nuts behind City. Seven clubs with a chance to finish 2 - 4.

I rather enjoyed that finish. Good to see the Super Whites level late with 10 men. Good day for Spurs.

Just saw Sarge took a nasty ankle injury while scoring a goal today. Looks like we'll have more specifics tomorrow, but sounds bad. He's scored in 3 consecutive matches. Why does it always seem like right when our best strikers start getting things together they go down with injuries?
